Principal, Loren Pepe

As a long term resident and appreciative parent of Rutland City Public Schools alum, Loren Pepe knew she wanted to give back to the Rutland community.  Loren joined Rutland City Public Schools as assistant principal at Rutland Intermediate in 2015 and then principal at Northwest Primary School in 2018. Prior to that time, Loren enjoyed twenty-five years as an educator in the Killington community, first as special educator and then as principal.

Loren is most passionate about children’s literacy.  After earning her Bachelor of Science degree in elementary and special education from Kutztown University in Kutztown, PA, Loren went on to earn a Master of Education degree as a reading specialist.  In addition, Loren completed coursework in educational leadership through Castleton University and literacy coursework at a number of schools, including Columbia University’s Teachers College and Lesley University’s Summer Institute.  Loren feels both honored and privileged to work with the students, faculty, staff, and families of Northwest Primary School, and she is eager to take part in educating NW students as they grow and learn.
