NW students and staff enjoyed a festive Thanksgiving Feast all together in the NW dining hall! Much thanks goes out to Dawn and Kim who prepared a scrumptious meal for all!
In preparation for “Stuff-a-Bus,” the Northwest School student “accountants” participated in a WJJR radio broadcast to promote the “Stuff-a-Bus” effort. Stuff-a-Bus promotes community donations of non-perishable foods and other items to the Rutland Community Cupboard.

On an October morning, Northwest kindergarteners visited with firefighters at the Rutland City Fire Station!
The Purple Angel Foundation gave Northwest’s Outdoor Classroom a wonderful gift: A Little Free Library! Children may borrow books at the Little Free Library anytime.
Northwest second graders visited important people and places in our community in early October, including City Hall, Rutland Free Library, Mayor Allaire’s office, Heritage Family Credit Union, and Rutland City Superintendent Taylor’s office.
Bryan Cupoli (Physical Education, at both Northeast Primary School and Northwest Primary School) was named the 2018 Elementary Physical Education Teacher of the Year by SHAPE Vermont. Congratulations Mr. Cupoli!
Ryanne Spaulding was honored at the 38th Vermont Outstanding Teachers’ Day at the University of Vermont on October 1, 2018.
